Fanshu Li

Fanshu is a PhD candidate in Information Systems at the Costello College of Business, George Mason University, with an expected graduation year of 2027. Her research examines how information systems and AI-enabled technologies are leveraged to support creativity, problem solving, and decision making in digital environments, with a focus on platform strategies and AI applications related to crowdsourcing dynamics, creative processes, and news media consumption. She also teaches undergraduate courses covering core MIS concepts, as well as Excel and database applications. Before joining George Mason, she earned a master’s degree in Business Intelligence & Analytics from Stevens Institute of Technology and worked as a data analyst for two years. Beyond academia, she is an independent musician and a practitioner of meditation.
