The 18-credit wine and craft beverage management minor includes a range of highly relevant courses from Mason’s Costello College of Business, School of Sports, Recreation, and Tourism Management, and College Public Health. In your coursework you’ll learn the basic functions of the wine and craft beverage industry like marketing, finance, management, and operations. You’ll develop a clear understanding of the industry segments that interest you most and receive opportunities to network within those sectors. Finally, you’ll gain first-hand experience in the industry by completing a required internship where you will apply the knowledge and skills developed in the classroom. If you have an interest in working for, or opening, a winery, brewery, or distillery, you will greatly benefit from this minor.

Eligibility and Requirements
- Available to business and non-business majors.
- The minor requires the successful completion of 18 credits (6 courses) with a grade of C or higher. Up to two classes can be used for dual credit (major and minor)
Requires sophomore standing (30 earned credits) to begin minor courses.
How to Declare a Minor
1. Download the Undergraduate Declaration of Minor Form
- Download the Undergraduate Declaration of Minor form from the Office of the Registrar.
2. Meet with an Academic Advisor
- Schedule a meeting with one of our academic advisors to review requirements and prerequisites. Bring your minor declaration form to the meeting to obtain the required advisor signature
3. Submit Your Completed Form to the Office of the Registrar
