Biography

Crystal Fickers serves as the Associate Director of Student Programs & Community Initiatives at George Mason University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the Costello College of Business. In this role, she leads initiatives that expand access to entrepreneurship education, support under-resourced founders, and connect students with community partners to drive inclusive economic growth. 

With nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit and social impact space and close to a decade leading her own businesses, Crystal has supported multiple impactful programs at George Mason, such as the SOAR Initiative, the Patriot Pitch Competition and other ecosystem-building events that showcase the entrepreneurial talent of George Mason students and alumni. 

Passionate about creating equitable pathways to opportunity, Crystal works at the intersection of higher education, entrepreneurship, and community development, ensuring that George Mason remains a leader in fostering innovation that benefits both students and the region.
