Do you have what it takes to make a compelling stock pitch? Sign up now for the Alpha Challenge, GMU’s annual stock pitching competition, hosted by The Montano Student Managed Investment Fund.
The competition’s objective is for student teams to choose, research, and pitch a stock for consideration for inclusion in the Montano Student Investment Fund. Students will be provided with resources to help them improve their skills in equity research and stock pitching.
The Alpha Challenge will take place on November 4, 2022 from 1:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M in JC Dewberry Hall! All majors are welcome to participate. Finance students are encouraged to participate in the Alpha Tier.
Alpha Tier:
- Open to anyone
- Recommended for those experienced or familiar with financial analysis and stock pitching
- Strongly recommended for those who have taken FNAN 341
- Focused on quantitative analysis
Beta Tier:
- Open to anyone
- Recommended for those with limited to no finance experience
- Focused on qualitative analysis
