Internship Opportunity: Unpaid Marketing/Advertising/Communications/Public Relations Intern at Elevated Mindset Therapy
Position: Marketing/Advertising/Communications/Public Relations Internship at Graduate Level
Location: Remote and in person 501 Church Street, Suite #212, Vienna, VA. 22180
Duration: 3-6 months
Hours: flexible/part time
Compensation: Unpaid (possibility of turning into a paid position based on performance and outcome evaluation).
Elevated Mindset Therapy is a cutting edged and innovative mental health practice dedicated to promoting mental well-being and empowering individuals to achieve their highest potential through unconventional methods of non-ordinary states of consciousness including psychedelic healing. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, naturally creative, and properly experienced Marketing/Advertising/Communications/Public Relations Intern at the graduate level to join our formulating team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate student to gain real life experience in marketing, advertising, communications and public relations within a fast-paced mental health practice and to confidently apply what has been learned through dedicated time in an academic setting to the business marketing world.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and client engagement.
- Create and strengthen instrumental professional partnerships that strengthens the practice’s vision and mission.
- Brainstorm and develop new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
- Manage and create content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Maintain and enhance professional online and social media communication
- Manage technological issues among different social media platforms
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the mental health industry.
- Collaborate with the team to create promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and email campaigns.
- Engage in methods to disseminate promotional material
- Assist in organizing webinars, workshops, and other online/offline events.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns.
- Support the development and maintenance of the company’s website and SEO efforts.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- Previous experience in internships or other marketing roles such as an assistant position
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and social media platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for success and being a part of a motivated team.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and familiarity with social media management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in marketing, social media management, or content creation.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
- Experience working with and marketing for professional private practices.
- 3.5 or higher GPA in current Master’s level graduate program for Marketing, Advertising, Communications, and/or Public Relations.
