Position:  Business Development Intern at Graduate Level
Location: Remote and in person 501 Church Street, Suite #212, Vienna, VA. 22180
Duration: 3-6 months
Hours: flexible/part time

Compensation: Unpaid (possibility of turning into a paid position based on performance and outcome evaluation). 

Elevated Mindset Therapy (EMT) is a thriving and cutting-edge mental health private practice that specializes in clinical therapy that helps clients heal trauma by way of non-ordinary states of consciousness including certain forms of psychedelic healing. Position Overview:

As a Business Development Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our efforts to expand and enhance our business initiatives. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with Daniel Lavelle, LPC gaining valuable insights into the strategic planning and execution of business development and sales strategies while also contributing your personal insights to help the practice proliferate. You will be involved in market research, partnership development, and the implementation of growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partners in the mental health and wellness industry.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategic plans to boost sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure the sales team has the right targets for their efforts.
  • Run searches for appropriate contact persons in targeted accounts.
  • Support the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and service reach.
  • Collaborate to develop and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and proposals for business development initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field with a current 3.5 GPA or higher.
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong interest in the mental health field and a passion for innovative therapeutic approaches.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Diligence and enthusiasm for quality results.
  • Affinity for spreadsheets and analytical tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
