The Patriot Leader position is a leadership development experience like no other offered at George Mason University. The Patriot Leader is highly visible in the Mason community and represents New Student and Family Programs (NSFP) through its various programs throughout the calendar year such as new student orientation, family, and new student welcome programs and initiatives. The Patriot Leader application for 2026-2027 is now closed.

The undergraduate academic advising team will be offering peak drop-in advising hours in January in preparation for the Spring 2026 semester.

The office will operate virtually on Friday, December 19, then be closed for Winter Break December 20, 2025 - January 4, 2026. The office will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, and offer Drop-in advising hours from 9:30am-11:30am & 1:00pm-4:00pm.
