The Costello College of Business offers Pre-Orientation Advising to connect with an academic advisor one-on-one before the beginning of the Fall semester.
Why Should You Do Pre-Orientation Advising?

Waive your Virtual Advising and Registration Orientation requirement (will still need to attend On-Campus Orientation).
Getting Started is Easy!

Starting on April 22, you’ll get an email with instructions on accessing the Pre-Orientation Advising modules. You’ll receive this email within a week of submitting your enrollment deposit.

Complete the online modules at your own pace.

After finishing the final survey, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to schedule your one-on-one advising meeting, which will be starting May 1, when your time ticket opens.
Freshman

Completing pre-orientation early will not waive your registration time ticket. However, it will allow you to meet with an advisor for a 1:1 advising session before your orientation date. This means that during orientation you will not need to join the advising breakout rooms or wait in line for course recommendations, and you can move directly to the registration room when your time ticket opens.
Is Pre-Orientation Advising Required?
No, but we strongly recommend it. Students who attend Pre-Orientation Advising will have the Virtual Advising and Registration requirement waived. You will still attend your On-Campus Orientation session and receive the same information, but you will have already completed your advising in a one-on-one meeting.
